Asset Light Scheme
What is the scheme?
SIDBI has designed Asset Light Scheme for Service Sector Entities to meet the credit needs of the ‘asset-light type of businesses‘, mostly in the new emerging segments of service sector which do not involve the creation of fifixed assets and generally operate from leased/rented premises. Example of such profiles is Restaurant Chains, budget hotel chains, diagnostic/speciality clinic chains, gyms/fitness centres, organized retail outlets, which invest primarily in interiors and stock, etc.
How much funding can a unit expect under the Scheme?
The funding offered under this scheme is in the form of Term Loan/ Revolving Term Loan / Line of Credit with a minimum of ₹ 50 lakhs and maximum up to ₹ 50 Crs. However, the loan is need-based in nature.
New units which are promoted by a well-established group in similar line can be considered for assistance up to ₹ 100 Lakhs.
Which units are eligible under this scheme?
Existing units which are in operation for 3 years with an established profitable model or VC/PE assisted companies which have not achieved profitability are considered under this scheme. New units which are promoted by a well established group in similar line can be considered for assistance up to ₹ 100 Lakhs.
What are the loan tenure options?
The repayment tenure is offered between 5 to 7 years, including moratorium of 18 months
What kind of collateral and margin is required?
The assistance shall be secured by tangible assets, acquired under the assistance and/or other unencumbered assets of the company and Collateral requirement of 30-50% of assistance. Margin is required to be kept 25% of the requirement.
